A suspect has been arrested in the French capital for allegedly planning an explosion at a Bank of America branch in central Paris.
According to Le Journal du Dimanche, the individual was caught in the early hours of March 27, around 3:25 a.m., while attempting to detonate an improvised explosive device near the bank.
Police on patrol noticed the suspect trying to ignite the device, which consisted of a transparent liquid bottle and a 650-gram firework containing gunpowder. Another suspect fled the scene.
During questioning, the arrested individual revealed that an unknown person had hired them and promised a reward of 600 euros for carrying out the act.
